Well, we will see tomorrow. They opened the lake and there is still moving current but my brother and I plan on checking out our known heavy structure and to start mapping other that we find. We will augment them with some nifty condos and get back to what we love. The thump! Thanks to all for your insight and advice. We will keep you posted.

So what you're telling me is the gates may have been open a week or better? Right?
So the fish are not gonna eat for a week?
You gotta get out there and change that mind set brother...
These fish are gonna eat rain, shine, flood, sleet, ice, snow or any other condition there is....
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can and then thump and there's a crappie flopping round on the deck of your boat.....LOL
A lot of times when my bite is off I'll go and fish stuff that I usually don't and BAMM there they are....
Hey, brother, you got me confused. The roaring river was almost a month but I assure you my brother and I will be on the lake soon. We were misinformed on when it was open but now that we know it is we will be there shortly. We also know crappie will eat no matter what. We will remap structure, add some, and fish wherever we think they may be. Our electronics will help and if we don’t catch fish one day we will be back the next and the next and the next. Thanks for your encouragement, though. I love your videos and one of my pipe dreams is to fish with you and Ketchn someday. Until then I will follow your advice.

Would be a cool trip and hopefully one day we'll be able to make it happen....
It's a HOOT fishn with ole Ketch'um.....LOL
Better bring your A game though or he will get under your skin with the smack talkn he brings on every trip....
GOOD LUCK out there Brother....
Your missing the point SK. Have seen it too many time in spring and going great, then something happens and flooding waters come and they open the gates. Then I assure they can be caught, but much tougher conditions and yes they don't s top eating, but the rules have changed at that point. Have seen dropping the lake 2 feet in 2 weeks made the crappie move out 2 feet deeper and stayed there until spring was over. Also yes they were a lot harder to catch and it happens every time!

Yeah I agree at times the fish present a bigger challenge but that's why we all chase crappie, the thump and the challenge.... At least that's my reason....
My lake has had current for the past few weeks and is chocolate milk from the dredging but we're still finding the fish although they are scattered.....
We're finding them in most of the eddies where there's less current.....
Just giving incentive to get out there and get after'um....
Yes scattered is what happens and makes it harder and they are a bit shocked and I think nervous about it all. I guess some lakes have the current all the time or more than others and think some that don't see it as often makes it even harder. Kind of freaked out fish where I think bass soon don't care as much and actually high water here makes bass fishing fantastic, lol!

Saw a lot of treacherous water last week when I went to East Texas. Rivers were rolling. Be safe.
I just noticed the lake is up a little more than a foot and a half and the generators are both running 24/7! The fish should be fine like this as long as the lake docent fall too much too fast or they have to open the gates which is really when it just messes them up.
