Amazing how people are so afraid some one might catch fish from a lake they are fishing heck with the electronics of today you can find a needle in a hay stack but you know what it can not make them bite so what does it hurt to talk about your fishing trip unless you got skunked

lots of chicken fried steaks in texas for sure …..been there and seen it myself . its ridiculous to think anyone can fish out a public water body and for sure the only draw back to letting folks know where is the crowd the next time you visit that spot .
in most cases I quit removing exif files and know folks read my photos with them and take out the embedded gps coordinates but I don't really mind if you follow my foot steps ….
just cuz you are where I was don't make any difference to me and when or if you ketch a bunch of them there it will reload at some point down the road .
electronics and a nice boat and or the knowledge of where to be and when will help in lots of cases but it wont always put fish in your hand .

Personally I believe too many stop and don't see much action and move on. Shame they don't just jump in and make it better by being here. All it would take is a few more staying and adding to what we already have here. Real shame since I also believe this is for sure one of the best Crappie sites on the internet!

Hell just think about it, other states have Crappie.com get togethers and have a lot of fun. We over here are close to the Louisiana gathering that some of us have gone to just across the lake here. However DFW is taken over by TFF and that would be one of the most likely places for a gathering, but it just doesn't happen. I have been to both Louisiana and Mississippi gatherings and both were awesome with lots of good food and good time with good people! Maybe one of you guys can get one going and draw in some people that would also build this Texas state board?

You fellas come on up to Missouri the first weekend of May. We will show ya how we have camp every year.
If ya get one going down there I would come and share some stories. I promise I won't eat to many of your fishes.
My dad and I used to go to Lake Fork every year and Crappie fish. Haven't been in years but been talking about trying to go agian next spring.
Anyway you all are welcome to our camps anytime.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

all kidding aside I would love to see a more active texas board and to be sure no matter if I rib ya or not about how you ketch them I for sure am just having fun with ya .
as far as a gathering closer to home I might at some point be able to be part of that as well .
in the end please do post up some fish photos and a little information if you have the time .
and don't worry about me picking off your spot ...I rarely go far from home and don't have time to chase your fish
I barely have time to chase my own fish .

TFF and a few Facebook pages seem to get/have all of the Texas attention.

As far as myself, between working 12 hrs shifts on work days and tying for customers on days off, that is about it for me. Have gotten maybe 4 or 5 trips in this year. Haven't been on my home lake (Granger) since spring. Not good. Was doing 2 trips a week before I got into tying. Skip warned me. LOL

Anyway, hoping to retire next year, build house on Dayton property we just purchased and see if I can find a fish on Lake Houston.
