Default Lake of Pines June Trip

I will be down at Lake of the Pines second week of June, staying in the Alley Creek area. Just needing some advice on the go to jig types, weights, and colors for LOP in the summer.

Also, will dipping timber in the summer work as it does up here in Oklahoma? Looking forward to getting down there for the first time, and any advice is much appreciated!!!

The lake is going down some, 12 inches in last 10 days, . What little crappie fishing I do is with miners or jigs, green/white combo or just solid colors. In the back of Alley creek stumps and creeks to fish around. The cats are good on catfish charlie or worms. We usually use Range Cubes for chum for cats, dump coffe can full and let set 30 minutes. about all I have for now. good luck. Our place is straight across lake from Alley creek, you can look across and see a cement intake tower that intake for city water in Longview. good cats out in front of it also and few crappie.

If you want some good advice fish under the alley creek bridge and on the north side where the old under water bridge and road bed are, should be 17-18 feet deep, use minnows, you'll catch something. By the way 410 man i will be fishing in your back yard this weekend for red-ear, have me some refreshments on the dock in case i get dehydrated, thanks
