Last year we did really well at the culvert just outside Big Sandy (the town).
Went by there yesterday, and the water is way down from what it was last year. My son caught one small crappie there, but there isn't much fishing room yet. If we get some rain and the lake comes up at least 5 feet (a little more wouldn't hurt), maybe it will be as good as last year. Last year I lived about 5 miles from there, but now I have moved about an hour away, so if anybody that lives close to there could keep us posted, I would appreciate it. Was about the same story at the Springville Pumphouse. Water was low there too. I did hear a couple folks say that dark green and chartreuse was the color of choice so far this year.
