Good pics. Not sure if it's a good thing to catch on the first cast. Thanks for sharing.
Jay W and I got out for a short am crappie search. We started about an hour after the movement period and I caught a nice keeper on first cast. The next 45 minutes yielded our other 3 keeper crappie. I had a little largemouth slimy green fish aka bass. We saw 6 deer playing along the shoreline.
if we had known that the crappie were going to quit biting so soon, we may have rethought our plans for the day. I have a couple of things to do or we could have stayed longer. Floating fishing in 4-5 feet of water. I know this was short and sweet, but I committed to post more on Cdc.

To be honest, trollers are having a grand time with the crappie right now but all you guys know that I don’t troll or use live bait while fishing for crappie. The fish are scattered right now which makes trolling the way to go if you want to catch a bunch. But a few of the crappie are exploring the shallows and in a few more days they will be there big time. Grin.
Hopefully I will get after them Saturday morning
