    Default Douglas lake

I’m coming from North Carolina looking for a good weekend trip of fishing Douglas or a better lake. I’ve heard Douglas is good fishing with good size fish. Never set eyes on place looking for any help with best time to come up and check it out and where to put in and fish and place to stay thanks in advance.

Following. I’m from the area but haven’t lived in TN for 13 years now. I’ve got family their with a home with ramp so can’t really give where to stay but we’ve fish flat creek area. Basically ramp below till the creek. My family has fished without electronics. There are some good fish but some of us think there has been some rough spawns past couple years but think it might be getting better. Douglas is water level is low during winter due to TVA using it for hydroelectric but still can fish it. Winter fishing is just very slow but spring and fall can be very good times.

Ramp closest to area I know:

No problem! If it helps my family and friends slow troll with flies/jigs in fall, winter, and spring depending on water temp and then crankbaits in the summer >\= 65 degrees
