I have been a few times. Not really the success I was looking for. We were able to keep a few both times but that's about it. I have been all over the BS.

Welcome to the forum. Do you live around Big Sandy? I live near Buchanan’s Resort.

Seems like I never get out much anymore. Hope to change that this year.

I fished 1/5, 1/6, 1/11. Kept 20 each day keeper vs shorts was 5 to 1! most were 11-12" prob had to measure less than 5 a day and eventually culled them out. 2-4 each day were ~14". Mostly stumps and brushpiles in 10-12' water. Single pole with jigs on 1/5 and was SLOW and TOUGH. 1/6 and 11 single pole with minnows was easier but still slow. Seemed to be only one 'good' fish one each pile.

Actually I live west of Murray in graves county but been fishing big sandy since the early 90’s and camp at hog hollow campground, Saturday was the first time in my life I never put a fish in the boat down there, it’s getting pretty bad compared to what it used to be, has been for a while now….
Two weeks earlier I caught 9 tournament fish down there from 11:00 to 3:00 that would win most tournaments…

I would argue the fishing has been above average to good in the last 2 years compared to the last 6 or 7 years overall. She seems to be off to a another good start this year as well, plenty of shad again this year
