    Default Chick 29 March

It has been slow on this forum so I figured I would make a post since I finally got the boat in the water this spring! Fished Wolfteever creek for 2 hours and ended up with 8 legal crappie and 3 yellow bass. Water temperature was 60-63 degrees. Most fish were caught in the 6-8 ft range. Lure of choice was a slider in red with chartuse tail or a crappie magnet in chartuse with a red tail. Was an awesome day to get out and enjoy the lake.

Here we go again. To chase the slabs, or to chase the gobblers. DECISIONS, DECISIONS.

Slabs for me. If the planer boards show up on time I will be trolling. If not I will be shooting docks

What kind of planer boards did you order? We are making some. I have some of the originals from your area.

I ordered some yellow bird mini's. I will probably make a couple of sets as well.
I would like to see the ones you are making when you get them done

Thanks for your post, it helps folks like me. If you ever see an old fellow there in his little tiny, say hey!

I fished Wolftever Sunday 4/3. A total of 9 from there. Most were 10 to 15 deep, water temp around 60. It was my first time doing a lot of jigging style so it was productive for me. I did realize why so may ropes were tied to the bridge lol.. About the only way to stay on a spot near the pilings , especially for me, lol Wind was not my friend and it seems some people have a different idea as to what "no wake" means. .. All fish caught on blue ice. For me it was a nice learning day.
