Water was low and muddy this morning when I slid the boat off the trailer at 9 am. Water temp was 50 dgrees when I started. Lake is at least 3 feet lower than 2 weeks ago. I shot docks and pontoon boats. I threw all kinds of colors at them. Different sizes at well. About 11am I pulled 2 crappie out from under a dock. 10 minutes later it turned into a 15 minute battle to the net. My personal best ( my only one)Mirror Carp. No more fish came off that dock. I let it rest for and hour and nothing. Picked up 2 more crappie on a different dock. They would slam it when they hit it. I blame it on the muddy water. Couldn't see the jig past 6 inches down. Off all the colors I threw Blue Ice was the color that got bit. Name: 20211212_112508.jpg

That critter went around every piling on that dock at least once. Finally turned the trolling motor away from the dock to get it to come out in open water. To wear it down. Thought is was a good catfish.

Supposed to look that way. I could not feel any scales on the critter. Felt like a catfish to the touch

Great report. Very similar to my day on Saturday, minus the bad ramp day stuff for me and the carp. Caught 6 too small crappie and 2 skipjack. For the first time ever I backed off the end of Chester Frost ramp and bent my boat trailer and busted a tire. May have spun my prop on wash from power loaders. So if anyone uses Chester Frost stay towards the middle and left side facing the water. From what I have seen you may just want to stay towards the middle or just go somewhere else. Thats all I got to say about that. Stupid is as stupid does, momma says.
