    Default Dock Shooting Report 11/28

I slid the boat off the trailer about 8 am. I eased out of the no wake zone under a hail of gunfire. The water was slick a glass with the exception of all the little rings formed by the shotgun pellets raining down. I found a few fish on the docks. Lots of bream pecking the tails of the jigs. Water was 47 degrees when I started fishing. Fish were under the darkest part of the docks. The first of 2 blacknose crappie came on the boat after 3 hours of fishing. Fishing was slow, but it was just enough to keep a fella fishing. I had not found fish under the pontoon boats in a month and a half. On a hunch I went and shot a few toons. From under the dark recesses of the land between the toons came my 2nd Blacknose crappie of the day. Each pontoon had a good fish hiding in it's shadows. It was a one and done proposition. The size of the fish were better from under the toons. I let 4 fish loose at the side of the boat. No touch needed. All total I boated 27 fish. A few of those were bluegill. It was a cold start to the day. I ended up in short sleeves before the day was done. Name: 20211128_142254.jpg

I forgot to mention that all fish were photo'd and released to catch another day. The bite under the docks were very soft. The bite under the toons seemed to be in a more aggressive mood. Blue Ice proved once again to be poplar with the fish. Next up was Lights Out. Baby shad size accounted for most fish caught. The full sized Slab HuntR took a few in Blue Ice . The Itty Bit Slab HuntR got the tails bit off every time they hit the water. Those little bream were hungry

Did you get a chance to try out the new rod? If so what did you think of it.

I the ACC Crappiestick did a great Job. It will shoot to the front of a pontoon boat. It is a stout rod. Very sensitive. A Bluegill striking the tail of the lure felt like a crappie had hit it like a ton of brick. It took some getting used too. It is stiffer than the Sharp Shooter or the All Strar Dock shooter

The wind got up a few times yesterday. Friday took the cake for being a difficult day to keep the boat positioned
