Default Fishing lakes near Clarkrange TN

    Hello,
Well after months and months of searching finally bought a home in Clarkrange. I know about the two big ones Dale Hollow and Center Hill lake. Looking for something possibly closer suitable for a jon boat.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Mark both the lakes you mentioned have ramps in smaller coves that would be safe for a jonboat. A warning about Dale Hollow though, the boaters get rude and crazy in the summertime and it is not safe anywhere. The other seasons of the year are just fine. I fish the upper reaches of Center Hill above the Sligo Marina and I find the area comfortable from my boat which is only 15'.

One other thing about these lakes, they are clear, cold, and deep. I'm assuming you crappie fish since this is predominantly a Crappie Forum. These lakes are real tough for me to catch Crappie but if you like Shellcrakers and BlueGills you cannot find better lakes. Both of these lakes have monster sunfish. I flyfish for them with a bream killer trailing from a large popping bug. Dynomite!
