    Default Duck River

Posters have been scarce lately so I thought. I'd jump in. Wanted to share one of natures wonders...The Duck River. The 1st photo is the old railroad bridge over the Duck just west of Chapel Hill Tennessee. There is a mild current here that will ease you down the river in no hurry at all. Water temp was 60.54 Saturday and continuing to drop. Had the river to myself as usual.

The next photo is my new favorite lure...the Ultra Light Rapala. This lure has a slow sink rate and the fish clobber it. Even the little ones with eyes way too big for their tummies! The lure is 1-1/2 and the Longear was maybe an inch more than that. However this lure does catchem bigger. Caught and released about sixty mixed species including a 13" Spotted bass. several smallies, Rock Bass, several handsize Bluegill, Longears, and one Crappie.

Beautiful scenery. I like that old railroad bridge. Given the opportunity that little fella will be a monster one day. It certainly isn't afraid to take a bite

That looks awesome and peaceful. Reminds me of floating down the Caney Fork.

I like little quiet locations like that.

Nice! It's been awhile since I floated that stretch. I go to church with an old river rat who keeps bugging me to go with him before he gets where he's too old. Need to take him up on it.
