Went out of Chester Frost ramp today. Water is very low and end of ramp caution signs are at ramp. I ran into some mud crossing the bay area. Ina tinny that is saying something. My prop is no more than 1 to 1.5 foot deep ard to see the shallow when wind is up. After crossing bay water was fine. Still be very careful is my suggestion.

The Hummingbird Fish Smart app is good to have if you don't have a map card for your fish finder. If I remember right it's $10 for the map of Chick. I know it has saved me a few times in the winter before I got a map card.

I run the small Lowrance I have on split screen. Half chart and half depth. It will let you know when you are getting shallow

I have a small lowrance also. Gen 2 x4. I don’t know if it does splits screen. Wax given to me and I haven’t spent a lot of time learning it yet. I do know you can set alarms. May be something I will look into. I have been in and out of Chester Frost in low water before. I was just not paying attention last time. My bad. But i was going very slow so no damage. Thanks for the idea on split screen

No charts. Like I said it was given to me lol. I don’t have a friend that likes me that good
