Any time on the water is better than time at work. I am hoping to go shoot some docks Sunday morning. I will be stuck at work Saturday. Thanks for the report
Well, it was tough for me yesterday. Water temp was 72°, winds from the SW at 6-16 mph. pre front conditions. I had docks on my mind when it left the ramp about 1:30. Scanned several in Wiconda Bay, caught 1 keeper. As I was leaving the area I spotted several of the tale tale "Christmas tree" formation in about 20' fow. For the life of me I can't seem to be able to catch those fish. Suspended just off the bottom not associated with cover. Apparently just hanging out, resting I imagine. So after spending a few minutes testing the waters. I moved up in a creek. Still searching docks. Managed 2 more, 1 from a dock and another from a lay down in about 10' fow. The salvation was it was a pleasant afternoon, away from the work around the house.

'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6
If anyone has any ideas or tips you wouldn't care to share on how to catch these crappies, PM me, I'm all ears.

Sometimes they just aren’t in a biting mood for me.

When the water starts “turning over”, the fishing will be on fire. It will be soon. On the very short trips that I have been doing, I found brush that had a few fish on it. I thought that it was one of my hotels because it was in the general area, but it turned out to be a different brush pile. The fishing on docks has been slow for me and I have found the fish to be very deep on the outside edge of docks. I’m still going to be fishing tailwaters a lot this fall.

Thank you for the report. I struggle when its windy out and feeling the bite or seeing the line move. Best thing I have found is to use FC or ester line so I can feel the bite. The varivas lines have been a game changer for me.
