    Default Reelfoot help

This being my first time on reelfoot. Which public ramp is the best to get out towards green point? I understand I will need to idle and trim up, but any help would much appreciated.

I can’t say from experience, but Looking at a map I would assume the State Park ramp that is between Bluebank and the State Park campground. That one appears to be the closest one. My fishing there has always been farther east at Buzzard Slough and Kirby pocket and that was many years ago. All I really know is be careful with the stumps and the wind.

It's been awhile, but I've launched my bass boat a couple of times at that big ramp right across the street from the Reelfoot Lake Inn. Just idled right across towards Green Island Point and Groom's Pocket.

I agree with G ! I always rented a boat to risky for me. I quit going there because of the stumps & seems like I would always lose at least one day of fishing because of the wind. That lake becomes dangerous in the wind. Please be careful !!!

I have only fished it three times, but I put in right across from Reelfoot Outdoors at the public ramp. I have a fiberglass Skeeter and just trim up and aim where you are going. It takes a minute but if the lake is at pool I only give love to a few stumps and have never even scratched my boat. At the same time, I will not go out on windy days. Crappie are always good out there in the deeper water. Good luck.

Lots of tornado damage at reelfoot right now from the other night. I would call and check things out before you go. Lots of lake homes destroyed and resorts also. The pictures that I saw do not look good.
