Default Which lake for striper and crappie in April?

Good morning. Me and the wife try to take a week long fishing trip every year or so to someplace new. We want to come to your neck of the woods and fish for striper and crappie about mid april. Several years ago we took a guided trip on Loudoun and caught several huge stripers, but that is the only time we have fished in your state. Which lake would you recommend for good numbers of stripers and pretty good crappie fishing in April? We like to troll alabama rigs for stripers but can do live bait if needed. I was thinking about Watts Bar but just because I have heard about it more than the other lakes. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also where will the stripers be that time of the year? Around here they head to upper end of the lakes to spawn.

Most of the lakes offer a good crappie fishery. I can't say about the strippers since I have yet to fish for them

Rented a cabin on Watts Bar yesterday for the second week in April. Hope the water and weather are nice. Will shout back at you guys for any tips on what is biting in April.
