When I catch a catfish, I always think it to be that big crappie I always wanted.
I launched at Hwy 58 Hiwassee. I shot docks and pontoon boats. The third cast crappie right at daybreak. Quick pic back it went. Next fish was about a 3 pound blue. The color this morning was Bobby Garland Slab Hunter in Purple Monkey. Loaded the boat around 12. Drove home and had lunch, launched at 3 in Dayton. Ran down river past the Hwy 60 bridge looking for docks on deeper water. Nothing but Bluegill. They were dropping the water all day. Probably dropped close to 2 foot in the course of the day.

I had taken the day off to go look at a pontoon boat. It sold the evening before. Having the day off I decided to spend it fishing. I got to run the boat, some dock shooting practice, and I cleaned out the spider webs from a bunch of pontoon boats.

A day on the boat will certainly make a fella hungry. When I am shooting docks I take the front seat out of the boat. I managed to make 6000 steps most of which was spent in a 17.5 foot boat. A week of that type of fishing and I would have to go back to work to rest
