Congratulations I am right behind you starting to work 3 days a week this year instead of 6. As far as a reasonably priced boat, in my opinion you cant beat Trackers classic that they came out with a few years back, $10,000 for a 16ft boat with a 4 stroke merc and a warranty, I here the price has creeped up some but still much cheaper then shelling out 35-40 k like I am thinking about.

My we all live to the day that we can relax, and enjoy life for awhile. Congratulation's.
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6

I know this is an old post but congrats, I retired in 2017, went back to work until this year and I am done. Fishing, kayaking, fishing and fishing. Life is short, you do not get to do this again, do not worry about money, you have enough, you just do not know it Hang out with your wife, do good work, enjoy the outdoors and just live. I shoveled **** for others for 50 years and I assume you may have also, enough is enough, good for you.

I am always happy to hear when someone gets to relax and enjoy life. The neighbor retired last year. We try to keep him in fresh eggs, some garden vegetables, and some fish fillets. Good for y'all. Y'all deserve some time to enjoy life. Be safe and fish often.
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
