    Default Minn Kota Powerdrive question????

I have a new powerdrive on my boat and can't get the stinking thing to come out of the cradle without kicking and pushing. It has the Deploy Assist but it sure doesn't assist. When I press that down is it supposed to kick it forward? Anyone else have/had similar problems? Thank you.

It’s counterintuitive, but pull up on the shaft and then out instead of pushing down to try and dislodge it. It’s hard to explain, but I used to have the same issue and fought it like crazy. Once I figured out that little trick I haven’t had as much issue. I did a google search and I found an answer on another forum and for the life of me can’t find it again.

Welcome to powerdrive ownership. Ive had one for years and it hasn't gotten any easier. I stomp down on the catch and it will kick it off the cradle.
