Default West fork little pigeon river

Just booked a trip for my fiancees birthday at the end of may. Have never fished the river before. I know it’s mostly smallmouth and trout. If anyone has any advice or input please let me know. The river runs right behind our cabin. I’m very excited

Id go armed with drop shot, small circle hook tipped with a earthworm for trout its been my go to when other stuff fails and there's plenty of options for smallies, neds rig, tubes, hair jigs etc..

Go armed with an UL rod...2# test line...FC leader...and some Trout Magnets and you will catch plenty of trout.

    Regards
