Reply With QuoteI promised Id report back after spending last week fishing the Obey river DH. There were 8 of us with 3 boats including mine, these guys go down every year this time of year and know the water, my 1st time. We all struggled to find big fish, Id say 95% were dinks jigging laydowns and brushpiles yielded most fish, but I caught the biggest jigging deep structure, we would of all caught our limits if no size restrictions but for the most part each boat came in with 4-8 keepers. My big fish was 14.25" white my co-angler landed a think 15.25" but biggies were tuff to find. I was the only jig fishermen but kept up with the minnow guys easily. All and all I loved the lake and plan on going back.
