Default Dock shooting with CUonthelake 3/4/21

I picked Candi up at her dock around 9:30-10:00 am for a little crappie fishing. The crappie that I caught deep yesterday were long gone so we switch gears and did what Candi loves best and that would be dock shooting where she shines.

I can’t keep up with her and control the boat too, but we both caught a lot of fish. I took home one limit to finish all I need to give away and we had almost another limit. I think 28 keepers and that many shorts. I added my daily skipjack today and that makes 5 trips in a row of catching a skipjack on crappie jigs.

The fish were shallow today. 1/24 and 1/32 oz jigs with chartreuse being the favorite color. Candi did catch several on Double Silver Rainbow. Water varied from 53 when we started to 57.9 when we stopped and the sun shining all day. Wind was variable.

My favorite kinda day! That wind was brutal at times ( my hair says it all). Thanks for keeping the boat in perfect position DK. Let’s do it again soon! You are the best!

You could have ran your hand down the side of a crappie and used that slime as hair gel

You seriously gonna eat that Tennessee Tarpon ??

My buds & I have caught them from Watts Bar on many occasions, sometimes on jigs & sometimes on minners ... and they all went right back into the water from whence they came.

No. Grin. I save those for a friend who loves to catfish.
