    Default Back at the Bar

Took dad below Watts Bar dam this morning. Started off good with 4 good crappie then they just shut off like flipping a switch. So dad put on a Lil Cleo, 5 casts 5 stripers. I followed the ol man's lead and we caught stripe til we got tired of pulling them in. Couldn't keep up with how many somewhere in the neighborhood of 30-35 and they were still hitting when we left. At 80 dad get tired pretty quick. Fish or no fish another great day with the man who taught me how to fish.

3 years ago this time of year, me and a friend went to Watts Bar bass fishing and after 2 days of struggling with bass we set our sites on Crappie, we found schools of them staging at the mouths of the creeks. They were 6-7ft down, so we anchored down and started casting 1/16th oz jigs, every cast brought in a fish, we would cast 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, 9:00 and so forth and quickly limited, with a hour or so left top fish we trolled back into the creek and my buddy caught a 6+lb lmb.
