Default Info on Wheeler lake. 1/10/21

Hey guys, there is a possibility that I could get a 2 day fishing trip to Wheeler lake in Alabama in the next few days. We want to look for crappie and Smallmouth bass. Catch and release.

We will go out of Decatur Alabama area and if you could tell me what to expect as far as water hazards, color, lake conditions, etc. it would be very helpful. I don’t have a map of Wheeler lake so I don’t know depths, structures that we might find.

Thanks in advance for the info.

I will be glad to also give you other ramp locations to use to access that are closer to the fish. Most of the ramps I'm speaking of are less than a 20 minute truck ride to the ramp. There's not a lot of structure for crappie without boat riding at least that far.
