Was able to get out on Chickamagua Lake yesterday with a friend and his son. It was a cold windy morning but it was successful. We ended up with 15 keeper crappie and probally that many more short fish. We were using 1/32 and 1/24oz jig heads with a #6 hook made by litewirehooker. If you hadn't used his jig heads, you need to try them out! His website is
Litewire Hooks. Body of choice yesterday was a trout magnet tipped with a crappie magnet or G sauce. Was a lot of fun on UL tackle and 2 lb line. I got a B&M TCB rod for Christmas and was finally able to give it a workout. I really like the rod. I broke down and ordered some Varivas 2.3 lb ester line. That is an awesome set up and you can feel everything. I now fully understand what Alphahawk is talking about in his YouTube videos.

Great catch and I loved the report. Water depth? I’m guessing 10-15 feet with the lighter jig heads and those Litewire hooks are the best. Tell Curtis that DK said so when you order them.
We fished any where from 8-26 ft of water. Most of the fish i was marking was between the 8-15 ft range. I can't tell you the exact depth the jig. I had best luck waiting around 20-25 seconds before I started a slow retrieve and it seemed they hit it about midway back to the boat.

Great report
Good catch and a yellow perch I see. They are turning up more and more in ETN reports.
Nice job putting a few in the boat especially when you have a friend's kid along.
That report was music to my ears......yes the hooks are super sharp and they catch fish....
