    Default Watts Bar dam

Took a quick trip to Watts Bar this weekend, mostly to just get away. To my surprise the crappie were hungry. I didn't take the boat just fished off the rocks but there were plenty of boats there. I caught 2 short eyes and 6 keeper crappie with one being 13.5 . I also landed 12 short crappie. Monkey milk and Weiss lake killer were the colors that worked best for me. Mother was happy as she has been wanting a fish dinner for a good time now.

Always wanted to fish Chickamauga for Crappie.
Been there 4 or 5 times staying at Bluewater in Dayton.
Always fishing out of my buddies boat for those Green fish.
Next time we go I’m taking my boat and leaving the chunking and winding to them.
    Thanks for the report.

We have caught 2 after they closed the flood gates. One each on different trips. Lots of people are walleye fishing up there so they must be catching them. I saw one pic of a walleye caught up there recently that weighed almost 7 pounds.
