Default How’s the fishing on Percy Priest

Thinking of heading down for a few days and have never fished there. They biting right now? Spider rigging a good method? Thanks!

Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!

I tried it last Friday and didn't do any good. Talked with several guys who looked like they knew what they were doing and they were not doing much either. One said he'd been struggling all fall. Carper's Guide service has mentioned in his report them being very inconsistent the last few weeks and was hoping this week of cold weather would get them in a more consistent pattern beginning next week. I can't go again until Christmas so let us know how you do.

Fished Saturday, no bites until 1pm. Ended up with 7. Black and chartreuse hand tied jig.

It’s been hit or miss with the cold snaps and then back to warm. I fished yesterday and caught 3, but all were keepers with one being 12+ (pic of my buddy with the 12+ attached) But also caught 8 bass while doing it. They dropped the water two weeks ago and it threw the bite off for a couple days, then I caught 20 one day, then now it’s slowed again. I usually target bluff walls in 15-25 feet with brush on bottom. Good luck. Name: IMG_5252.jpg
