Thread: Crappie are still deep on Watts Bar

Went bank fishing for a couple of hours near sunset. I was hoping to tangle with some schooling white bass but they were not as active at my spot as they were earlier this week. Instead of white bass I hooked into a fat drum that weighed about 8 pounds. I kept trying lures that I use for white bass but today I only caught fish with a 3 and half inch white swimbait. Towards sunset I hopped the swimbait along the bottom in 15 feet plus depths and got thumped by a couple of keeper sized white crappie.
