Default Some Chick Crappie on the scope

Got out early Sat and fished from 5am to 10am. Nice cool morning, unreal sunrise and a few small crappie wanted to play. Only landed 10 with 3 keepers in about 2 hours of crappie fishing. Fish were active but just would not stay hooked. I downsized, upsized and used every color I had in the boat. The would attack the jig, get hooked and then come off. Must have happened 20 times or more. Still a great morning on the water and the trashy greenfish did want to eat.

Stan, we have been losing our fair share of hooked fish as well and many have come off and fell in the bottom of the boat. I have no explanation for this and I have seen this for years. Some days, you will never lose a single fish. Litewirehooks hold well, but fish have been coming off them the past 10 days.

Looks like an ultrasound. I believe its a boy!!

If I had those electronics on my rig, not sure I'd get much fishin' done Pretty cool technology though. Can't imagine where electronics will be 10yrs from now.

    Both figuratively and financially.

Yes, he put up quite the fight on the light tackle. He hung up in the brush at first but came free and he headed to the channel.

I released him, but he was feeding on the crappie. I watched him for 30 minutes before he hit my bait.
