    Default Another Hybrid Crappie

A couple weeks ago the talented and best looking fishing partner of the Drumking caught and posted a picture of an odd looking Crappie. It had vertical lines of specks, not random like a normal Black Crappie. Well today I caught one very similar. Here are a Black, a White, a Blacknose, all from this morning, and a group picture that contains the odd fish.

?See the odd ball up top, looks just like the one CUontheLake caught. I think she sent pics off to the Wildlife people and they said it was probably a hybrid. Well I had never seen one like that in my years of fishing many lakes and states...until today. Now I have seen two.

And on a similar note, all stomach contents were checked again this morning, and all were empty except for the big 13.75 White in the middle. He had a Shad in his belly that was at least 4in long, barely digested.

Great picture comparison! One thing about fishing sometimes you never know what’s tugging on the other end.

Great report. Notice the shape of the crappie on top. It doesn’t have the more rounded shape of the black crappie and has a more streamlined shape of the White.

That top crappie is such and interesting specimen... wonder what D10 would say about it?
