    Default Quick Trip

This will be a quick report. We got out this morning right at sunrise. The weather report warned of higher winds later, which was correct! Water temperature was 73, and we fished brush in 15-20 FOW. We also caught some on deep docks, 15+ FOW. The bite started hot, but cooled pretty quickly. The dink to keeper ratio was probably 3-1. I caught a pretty good catfish which was a tussle on my 8’ BGJP and 4 lb test! We brought 5 home for a meal.
The boat was back on the trailer around 9:30. This morning was the least crowded that I have witnessed in a long time! We will probably change our schedule to fish mornings vs. evenings for awhile.

Great catch, a mixed bag is always nice, Crappie wise. I am not fond of the whisker fish, especially on UL tackle.

Thanks for clarifying that it is a Blue! I wasn’t sure. He’s still swimming after my straightened hook fell out! With all the warnings on Ft Loudoun about eating bass and catfish, I wasn’t taking chances. Afraid I might glow in the dark!
