Default June heating up. White bass, crappie, catfish. 6/03/20

Without a doubt, June is my favorite month to fish. Crappie have finished the spring fling and have returned to offshore structures or very nearby. Biofisher and I started the morning by fishing for White bass. It took a little over an hour or two to get a double limit, put them on ice and start crappie fishing.

We fished until a little after one pm and had one limit of nice keeper crappies. 6 were under docks and the rest on offshore structure. 1/16 and 3/32 ounce jigs were our choice of lures and we attached BG Slab Slayers and Crappie Magnets to the jigs and glued them on with gorilla glue.

TVA was running 43,000 cfs and the slight wind was from the south. It was a great day for fishing although it was getting hot by the time we quit. Colors that the fish liked best were Blue Ice, Lights Out, Pearl body with chartreuse split tails. Two channel cats were the bonus fish plus a 3 lb Largemouth bass.

Boy howdy! Look at that calm water. That's a big difference in conditions compared to Monday. Great job on catching all those fish. I bet that was a full box of fish. Those pictures turned out great. Thanks for the report.

I won’t take out anymore for me. I now have enough and from the looks of things, I didn’t even put a dent in them. Lolol. When you coming up?

I don’t know a white bass from a yellow bass from a striper. I just call em all Stripes! Caught a nice one Tuesday....it was one of those three. I’ve never kept em, so he’s back a swimming!
