Good day!
Phil and I had a short day of scouting for crackers and we just fished for a couple of hours. I had fun playing with the ultralight rod and two pound test line and managed to catch two good keepers under a dock and several short fish on offshore structure.
I was using a 1/48 oz Curtis Hobbs Litewire number 6 jig and Bobby Garland Itty Bitty Slab Slayer bodies. Almost no drag so that the fish would not break my line but they provided much fun as I am in a learning mode right now with ultralight tackle on crappie.
Phil caught a beautiful White crappie on offshore structure that was 14.25” and TARP legal size, but he already has the certificate for it. All our fish were released and I did managed to catch a couple of Bluegills as bonus fish.
Water temp was 66.9 and we stayed on the lower end of Chickamauga lake. Sunny skies contributed to my sunburned ears (ouch) and wind was very light. Possible T storms tonight and north wind tomorrow and lower temps. We can’t have it perfect all the time.nlolol.
Good day!

Nice catch, and a bonus White in the normal bag of Blacks. Waiting on the Gills up this way also, they are so much fun on the UL stuff.

'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
