Default Crappie fishing Chickamauga Lake 4-6-2020

Tim Starnes and I got an opportunity to go Crappie fishing yesterday. We didn't get on the water until about 12 o'clock noon. Beautiful day to be on the water. Tried a few fishing spots and we were successful enough for me to bring home a small mess of Crappie. Water temp. was approximately 65* and Bobby Garland Baby Shad lure on a 1/32 oz jig seemed to do the trick. The Crappie were beginning to change to their tuxedo black spawning color. I did bring one Shellcracker home. Shellcracker is one of my favorite eating fish!

Life is good. Fishing is better.

I see that your crappie are specks. Do you guys & gals catch some white crappie at Chickamauga also?

Good looking crappie. I agree with you. Shellcrackers are one of my favorites. Better than crappie.

Yes CrappieJunky, we have Back and White Crappie in Lake Chickamauga.
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6
