I'll be attempting to "social distance" with some long-beards this weekend. Social distancing at it's finest!

So, is nobody going fishing? I'm a little put out as I am hooked up and ready to go to Reelfoot in the morning. I'm hurting and wondering if police will be pulling people over and such. A truck pulling a boat down the road is obviously not "essential".

ASK FORGIVENESS INSTEAD OF PERMISSION. I've checked TWRA's website (as of 10min ago) and see nothing illegal about hunting/fishing. I personally see nothing socially irresponsible about getting out/away from others in the wild. Biggest thing right now is to make sure you're doing your part to be SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE.

Right. I'm still debating. Really want to get out there. Took a day off with my dad and everything. Sure would hate to go only to be turned around. I looked at the TWRA site as well. The last update I saw was 3/30. Nothing yet for 4/2.

Yea I’m off tomorrow and this weekend and it’s going to be nice all three days, but I don’t want to donate $50 to anyone just to go fishing.

Tennessee Executive Order 22, paragraph 8d says outdoor activities are allowed as "essential activity." Paragraph 9 allows travel for these activities. Today's new Order 23 upholds these activities, but says Tennesseans are "required" to stay at home, (rather than just "urged") UNLESS engaged in these activitives. So according to that, fishing and hunting ARE most definitely allowed.

Do not be surprised when the viral vector epidemiology becomes fully understood that all these refusals to stop outdoor activities proves to have been a unwise decision.
