    Default Wolfteever Creek 3-26

invited a guy from work and his son to go with me tonight. Soon as we got to the ramp I said it was going to be hard fishing because it looked like chocolate milk and the lake had risen a few feet. Started fishing a spot I had caught them a couple of weeks ago. Wasn't having much luck in the normal spots and the son is getting a little impatient but still having a good time being on the boat. We get to a some structure and and my buddy gets a bite. He hands his son the reel and grabs the net. The son is trying to reel the fish in and is struggling a bit but is making progress. They get the fish landed and it’s a nice one. It was 14.25” long and 1.5 lbs. Was a great first crappie. The son was hooked after landing that fish and couldn’t wait for the next bite. We kept fishing for another hour with no bites. I said we would try one more stretch of back. Get there and catch a short crappie and it gets off right at the boat. A few cast latter I hook a bass and hand the son the reel. He was able to land it and was excited when it jumped a few times. It was 15” long and about 2 lbs. Overall it was a great night and just nice to get out of the house after working from home all week. They got some good pictures and made some great memories.

All fish were caught on crappie magnets. Water temperature ranged from 58 to 65 degrees depending on location.

Good deal, that Crappie qualifies as a TARP. Can get a really nice certificate from TWRA to commemorate the catch.

    It's tough out there.
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6
