Good job there, Lebron. I worked in the yard today and put new side bunks on the trailer. Should have been fishing. Grin.
Yes it was windy! And yeah that's an understatement. Between the wind and discharge rates at 97k+ CFS, I opted for a nice protected creek. I had no clue as to where to begin. So I just put my sonar on side imaging and started my search. I located a school about 1/4 mile back in the creek. They were holding in a couple of blowdowns on a steep rock bank, a mini bluff if you will. I hadn't changed baits since my maiden voyage so that's what I started with. BG Green Banana was the first one in the pool. Almost every cast resulted in a 11-12" fish. When things slowed I just picked another rod that I had a Monkey Milk with tail lights tied on. That worked well for a bit longer. When things cooled off again I took off to find another spot. Scanning on back in the creek I checked a few more steep rock banks with blowdowns and found nothing. I didn't realize that while I was continuing my search the wind had died down somewhat, aka frontal passage had taken place. So I headed back out, stopping at a dock that I thought was holding fish made a few casts to no avail. Continuing back out of the creek, I stopped at the blowdown I had first found, fished it for about 15 minutes and only landed 2 more, and 1 of them was the only short of the day. Grand total for today was 7, and I'm thankful for those. With the bite all but stopped I decided to start my run back to the ramp.

'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6

7 keeper fish in those conditions is pretty good. At leas you kept plugging away and located them where most wouldn’t even try.
7 is a great mess of fish. I built structure this afternoon and the wind was chilly for sure.
