Awesome looking fish
Got out with Billy today to try something new. Billy usually kills the crappie on a float and fly so I figured I was willing to give it a try. He knows a few tricks and showed me how the flipping cork works to detect strikes. Turned out to be a tough day today and the strikes did not come as fast as we would have liked. One thing I can say about the fish we caught today most were quality fish. Didn't run a clicker today but we would have had a good mess of fish if we were keeping.

I’ve never tried that method. Nice fish!

Nice catch, I use the Float and Fly technique in the coldest months on Cherokee for Smallmouth and Crappie. Never know what will be on the end of the line when that float sinks.

Thank you for reminding me of a technique that I used to use with good success in the wintertime and have stupidly stopped using. But you have encouraged me to crank it back up again. We would catch big crappie using this technique. Nice fish.

Good Job fellas.
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6Pantastic thanked you for this post

Is the float you use on a float and fly different from a slip float rig? Thanks
