    Default Winter Crappie

Spent the better part of the day back out on Watts Bar. I noticed a lot more anglers were out on the water with these warmer temperatures we are having. First fish of the day was a 14 inch tarp coming from a deep channel point. I had just marked this spot while searching for new locations. I spent most of my time searching for new winter spots while catching a fish or two as I made progress. Finished off the day going through some winter spots I had marked from my last visit. Results were 25 crappie caught and released with twelve keepers. Oh and two big drum which were also released. I have begun to notice this lake has a lot of drum.

Love the report, Gene. Beautiful pics of slab white crappie and you are smart to look for new places to fish and then finding fish on them.
