Default Looking for MS river info

I normally fish in Lauderdale county but just moved back here after being gone for years. Any game wardens can tell me why sunk lake and champion lake were locked today? I’m assuming because of duck season. Also looking for what level the MS river has to be at to make certain places in Lauderdale county inaccessible. Sunk, champion, crutcher, cold creek, etc.

November 15- March 1st they are closed.

River gets in Cold Creek around 16’ on Memphis gauge , I think the Osceola gauge is close to the same.

If you haven’t fished there in years you’re going to be sick when you see the condition it’s in. The carp and gar have ruined most of the good holes in Lauderdale county. Cold creek parking lot used to be full on Saturdays. Now maybe two trucks all day.

Heard glen springs store was shutting down. Shelves are empty. What’s up with that?

Yep. That place is usually busy in the spring and summer.

I’ve never done any good there.

Really? I figured the rivers being out had it closed.

It may just be open for ducks right now. They have some kind of draw hunt during duck season. If you catch champion just when River gets out it’s good.
