While I am waiting on an oil change I though I would throw up a posting. Haven't seen many posts here lately so is anyone even fishing? This is the time of year I like to vacate and catch a few. I am off the whole week so hopefully I can pierce a few lips in between driving stake beds. Got a few hundred stakes to drive so hopefully I won't be left too sore.
Went to Watts Bar yesterday for a few hours. I only fished deep with a 3 1/2 inch watermelon knife tail on a custom 3/16 oz I have made from killer jigs. I think I am going stick with this set up for the rest of this year.
I caught mostly keeper fish with only around four shorts. Must be something wrong with my counting though. I took like twelve out of my live well when the clicker only said ten. Hmm. Anyone else ever have this strange phenomenon happen? Most measured over 13 inches. If anything like my counting, I hope I read my rule correctly.
Anyhow I gave up on the fishing when a fellow decided he wanted to fish where I was fishing. When he got right on top of me and started talking I just left.
Spent the next few hours scanning and looking around then took it on home.
