    A day trip up the Cherohala Parkway Southeast Tenn and across the North Carolina line.

    Must've been up high fairly early to see the "hore frost". Some nice colors but still on the muted side isn't it??? Good pics, thanks for sharing.

    Great pictures, enjoy that drive, anytime of year. Couple of nice hikes and waterfalls along the way, and we always visit the Joyce Kilmer National Forest on the NC end. Some of the trees there are over 400 years old, sorta like some the old Geezers on here

    It was spotty. that is not frost that is Ice. Must if had a rain rite before it got to the freezing mark. It was 33 degrees where we turned around.

    Saw a lot of Hemlocks above the 3,000 ft mark that had died. don't know whats going on with that.

    Look up Hemlock Woolly Adelgid, a not so friendly bugger to the Hemlocks in Eastern North America.
