Can anyone help me with a guide for sauger fishing below Pickwick. Something I’ve always wanted to do. Thanks.

Yes, I remember him. Don’t know if he is a guide. Just a bucket list check off. Maybe someone will show up. Thanks.

Jim Duckworth use to guide for sauger below Pickwick Dam. I'm not sure he still does that. He most likely does in the Cumberland River. You can google him for contact information.

Sauger fishing has been bad for the 3 years I have tried.I have not caught one. Tried many places where people used to catch many Sauger. Talked to several people for info and they were all Sauger fishermen. Not hearing anything good about it. I live in Savannah an fish the river when the current allows.

I haven't heard anything good in about a decade below Pickwick. 4 or 5 years ago I did hear of some being caught around Clifton. The river had been dredged out from South of Perryville bridge to the Duck River and I feel they have destroyed the sauger spawning grounds. TWRA has been stocking the Cumberland River in Old Hickory and upstream for years. Sauger and walleyes.

Talked with a guy who lives in Clifton and fishes a lot. Said he quit fishing for them. Have not seen any for a couple years.
