I want to give a product review and this may not be the place for it. If my review is out of line, then moderators please delete the review.

American Angler ion battery cordless fillet knife. Guys these knives have been advertised on YouTube for several weeks. The positive thing that I want to say about American Angler AC fillet knives is that they are the best fillet knife that I have ever used. Highly recommend them to all.

However, the cordless ion Knives are a pain in the rear to use. The blades are sharp like all their knives are, and the battery easily lasted through the cleaning process tonight, but the trigger mechanism isn’t like the trigger on the AC knives which are very easy to use. It was very uncomfortable to use and the knife kept stopping when I would change angles while cutting the fillet off the sides of the fish.

I am completely dissatisfied with this knife. It is very expensive and I may try to send it back and get a refund. My advice is to just buy another AC American Angler knife instead of the cordless model.

I bought the A/C model a few years ago. It has been a great knife. It is disappointing to hear the battery model doesn't do as well. The freedom of movement and safety factor of the battery model is desirable to me. Maybe they will improve it.

You might want to look at the thread over on the Mississippi Board started by Rees Guide. He and a few others speak highly of the new Bubba Blade cordless knife. Comes with a couple sets of blades and an extra battery. I am not affiliated with the Bubba company, just know that I tend to gravitate towards the products that are tried and tested by members on this great site.

    Drumking....this is Dr. Phil's cousin!
The Grandkids gave me the name Poohpaw years ago.
Me and the misses are going this morning (9/16) to catch a few slaps. We had a tough time last Monday only bringing home 16 keepers.

Nephew used to be in business and I had lots of shirts made.....at that time I could get them reasonable and gave most away especially to kids. Still can get few made if you are interested. Drumking has been ordering hooks for many years and I like to give back to friends. I encourage all fishermen who use Litewirehooks to fish deeper and lose more hooks or I will be like the “Maytag Repairman Man”
