8-9-19 Quick Trip and a Bonus Fish
Just a quick report on Fridays foray to the big pond. It was hot, 90s forecasted so I did a morning milk run and found the fish to be in the Summertime Slump. Dog Days if you will, and the bite they barely did. Keepers replaced by dinks, Kitty fish and Drum were trying my patience and getting up my hopes. I scratched out a few for a trip home, and even managed a true mixed bag of a Black, a few Whites, and a toothy Walleye.

?Been a good Summer, but I think I am ready for some cool weather.

Gonna make an AWESOME meal right there! LOVE me some walleyePlanning on ditching the slabs pretty soon and targeting the toothy critters when water temps come back down a little bit. Since they started putting them back in Chick, pretty much given up deer hunting to focus on 'eyes in the fall

Nice! I enjoy catching walleye myself and have caught a few on BGBS in the spring time. Good trip and way to not let the heat stop you from getting out.
