Default July 3rd Chickamauga crappie report. 2019

Phil and I had 11 very nice Keeper crappie in the live well before the sun rose up in the east. I love it when a plan comes together and the fish get the memo. I took home 13 11-13” Black crappie for my family. We caught 18 altogether and 3 short fish. Phil caught the Drum today. We quit fishing at 8 AM.

Water temp on surface was 85.8 when we started and over 87 when we put the boat on the trailer. Current was flowing at 13,000 cfs and was perfect for the 1/16 oz jig heads and Bobby Garland SS and MM that we were throwing. About three weeks ago, I fished with Richard Simms and he left a couple of jigs that had some plastic and a feather in Lights Out color and Phil tied it on and the crappie went nuts over it. Now I’m gonna have to find where he got those. Lolol.

We fished in the main river today. We hit Corky’s spot on the Rocky Point bluff and caught a couple of 10” crappie which were released and told to grow up. That is it for me until next week. Wow, what a great 3 mornings we have had though. Watch the moon phases and plan your fishing trips accordingly and you will be rewarded.

Man that was an early trip, but a good one looks like. I rolled into work here at 8am and started a cup of coffee and you cats are loading up heading to the AC to clean fish and chill. Great catch for the last 3 days.

    Good Job fellas!
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6
