    Default Picking Up The Slack

Last couple weeks the DrumKing and his fish catching Comrades have been sore lipping the snot out of some deep water Slabs. Throw some Green Carp and White Bass in the mix and they have been living large. Well since May I have been sticking Gills like a Banshee, and have neglected the proper harassment of our Speckled Belly friends. Yes I have caught a few here and there on various trips but this week I decided to leave the Cricket Crunchers alone and concentrate on deep water prey. It started Wednesday, the King made a morning report of some nice fish caught and put up some great sunrise pics, then tapped out for the rest of the month. I hit the water after work to look for similar quarry in similar water conditions. 21ft deep, main channel structure, THUMP, I am in!!

A good mess for a Co-Worker, she will have a nice fish fry for the Fourth of July. Back in the ring early this morning, same MO, 18-20 FOW, vertical jigging and pendulum casting deep structure it was Round 2. No on the water pics, forgot to snap any but by 10am it was hot with no wind, I had a good mess for the freezer. Size was smaller than Wednesday with only one 13in and lots of 11’s. More Blacks than Whites this morning, not unusual.

The parting shot of me today since I am not as Purdy as the King and his cronies. Get out there if you can, they are still biting.

Wow! Fun, ain’t it?! You got some great pictures and some great fish! I’ve fished Cherokee three times, and never could put a pattern together. You make it look easy!

Good Job Stan, keep hammerin' em' .
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6
