After reading your post I think I'll stick with one jig rod and working on detecting bites. Thanks again for the great read.

Put it to the test this morning. Caught around 30. No telling how many bites I've been missing with my bobbers!

    Thank you!

My hat off to you drumking sir. I use the same type of fishing for crappie. Ive fished for crappie since i was a child with my Dad (im 64 now) I mean back to the days of using full length cane poles out of a row boat. I only bluegill and crappie fish to this day. I also love to spider rig, but use your way a lot. Your article you wrote is awesome to me, i have taught my grandson the same way. Good job sir.

Long read, boat loads of knowledge! I saw myself in there.... And I wasn't close to your level of fishing. Thanks for sharing, there was a lot to grab!

SUPER GREAT READ...Thank you DK, and Slab. Glad someone made it a sticky. Also glad someone referenced it on the main page as a read for someone else. Just goes to show you need to research the whole site as there is great info every where...Crappie.Com Rocks!
