If you are planning on going to the North end you should be fine. There is a lot more trees up there and blocks the wind better. Where are you planning on staying at while you are there ?
Got trip planned for Upper basin 6/17-6/20. The weather is looking rough, about 60% chance rain/thunderstorms and wind over 10mph for all 4 days. Should I kiss my deposit good by. Hate to drive 6 hours pay the rest of the stay off, to sit in a cabin watching a 13" t.v. I can handle the rain and maybe not getting to fish a full day due to a storm but the wind has me worried. What are your thoughts, do wind forecast hold any accuracy.

Planning on staying Grays Camp, been there before, I know about the ditch right a the ramp. Bringing my own boat a bigger size Bass Tracker, it done ok up there before ,I just idle round and bumb a few stumps. That 10mph and gust 15-18 mph was me worried. That room gets mighty small and old quick, plus the cost of room/gas, I left a day early years ago due to weather, I know its a gamble, lose 70 dollar deposit vs 500+

In my opinion, the weatherman is wrong at least 70% of the time and still collects a paycheck. Grin.

Yes the ditch is ok but so is Brewers Bar. If you get down there tell John Frank Cecil said Hi. John is a good guy. When I go do I fish the north end most of the time. I have stayed at Grays with John and back years ago when Pete and Minni Armstrong owned it. There is good bluegill fishing down the ditch just past the 1st duck blind on your left. Also down in Burnt woods End of the ditch on the right side.
