    Default Good Day

Sunday caught 50+ with 20 keeper size, took home 7 for our Memorial day fish fry. All females had eggs. Caught most on 2" Muddywater blue and silver with Garlic tipped with minnows. I am now a firm believer in these baits. Caught 3 bass, one 3 lber, 2 catfish and broke off a freight train (probably a big cat). You know its good when you can only fish one rod due to the constant action. Conditions: Cloudy with water temps around 73, slightly stained water from the rain the night before. Fished flat 9ft deep, they were hanging out anywhere from 5 to 8 fw. Even caught one with my rod hanging over the side while moving back to my spot. That one hit the tube jig that was no more than a foot under the surface and moving fast. The same as last weekend I found 3 of the 7 had baby crappies in their stomachs.

14 good fillets there for the frying pan. Your water temps are a little behind ours seems like. I found 80 degree water and caught crappie in 21ft water last week. Still transition time for them. Nice catch.

Water is warming quickly. I have begun to see them in my typical summer spots, but these were aggressive prespawn patterns. I don't know about you guys, but I have seen the crappie spawn from May all the way July.

Good looking mess of fish. Enjoyed both the report and picture.

Good Job Sir! Keep them reports coming...
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6
